The English brand Quadrant (Birmingham) started building motorcycles in 1901. First with Minerva engines later (1903) with their own engine design. They were well known for their heavy 1 cylinder engines that won many races. In 1929 Quadrant production stopped.
This Quadrant is an incredible barn find. It was found together with 4 other motorcycles with sidecar in a barn in Gloucestershire. They had been here for 20-30 years without anyone seeing them. After the owner passed away they were sold at auction in the UK in 2016. Motorcycle is completely original in original paint. This one also has the options of odometer, complete lighting on carburetor and windshield on sidecar. Rarely does one come across a motorcycle in such original condition, this is a unique opportunity to own a time capsule. With the motorcycle is after the discovery nothing done. The heavy 650cc 1 cylinder has good compression and the gears let themselves take. Nice project to start and nice original to keep.
