In 1960, Harley-Davidson bought 50% of the shares of the Italian Aermacchi. This to be able to offer the lighter segment of mopeds and motorcycles. In 1972 they bought the company completely to sell it in 1975 to Cagiva. The models were renamed Aermacchi-Harley-Davidson but the models for the American market remained Harley-Davidson.
This 65 cc is such an American model, as can be seen by the name in engine and rubbers, the miles counter and the petrol cap with mix ratio in gallons. This model is a 67MS- Sport Leggero with a 65cc 2 stroke engine in completely original condition with only 1490 miles driven (+/- 2400km). This one is in perfect running condition.
