Greeves

Challenger

Personal bike of Frits Selling (champion of the Netherlands)

Completely original and unrestored!
Personal motorcycle of Frits Selling, importer of Greeves and multiple champion with this motorcycle.
Greeves Challenger MX2 from 1965. This is a 250cc 2tact cross bike. This model came out in 1964 with a Greeves motorcycle of his own making. Greeves always used a Villier engine. The 1964 (MX1) model had a bad gearbox and so it was modified in the 1965 model (MX2). Greeves was one of the first to use 2 tacts in the cross and so they were the winners of many crosses between 1959 and 1969. At many races the first 10 places were occupied by Greeves. Because of the combination of the great power of the 2tact and the super light frame (from 1 piece of aluminium) and the use of polyester as tank and mudguards this was a winner in many races. It was even so that this 250cc also competed in the 500cc and still could win everything.
Motocycle is in perfect running condition and immediately usable for races.
