M12

Belgian army motorcycle WWII

Belgian FN model M12. This is a 1000cc boxer. This model specially commissioned for the Belgian army was made from 1937 to 1940. Worldwide this was the very first army powered sidecar. Germany therefore obtained one before the war and it served as the basis for the German BMW R75 and Zundapp KS750. Before the war, the Jeep did not exist. A small vehicle in which several people and material could be transported on the track as well as in the field. FN had the solution here with a motorcycle that could carry 3 people and equipment. Almost all FN M12 were seized by the German army.

This motorcycle comes from a French army museum and had been disassembled for years. Now rebuilt together again. Everything original, but not completely complete.
