French La Panthère made at SMAC (La Sociéte Manufacturière d'Armes et Cycles). This is a 250cc from 1924 or 1925. This company manufactured very little and was more of an assembly company. Everything was purchased and assembled at their place. The engine was Zürcher, LMP, Villiers, ... the gearbox was Bridier et Charron, front fork and wheels came from AYA, the tank from Mottaz. These were all subcontractors who made parts for motorcycles so that a small bike store could also build his bike without big investments. This also makes this motorcycle easy to get complete because these parts were frequently used by several brands in France.
