French Monet-Goyon model AS. This is a 250cc 2 stroke from 1929. First model after the flattankers but still with 2 separate gas tanks in copper. After the great success of Monet-Goyon with the 175cc (23 world records) they also released a sporty 250cc. This can be seen by the quick release fasteners for the wheels and the separate oil pump on a 2 stroke engine! This provided direct lubrication at the front of the cylinder. Also the luggage rack on the standard models was fixed to the frame but on the sports models this could be unscrewed. This was because people then didn't have the money to buy 2 motorcycles. One to drive to work and one to race in the weekend. So they had this sports model with luggage rack and lights and in the weekend they unscrewed it to go racing. Nice projection to restore or to build a concert from. Engine has good compression and you can take the gears.
