French Peugeot model 1903 239cc.
In 1903 Peugeot built their own engines in the motorcycles on the new Werner method. This means no more clip-on engines on the front frame tube as in 1902 with their first model motorcycle but an engine at the bottom of the frame in front of the bottom bracket. This had been invented in 1901 by the French brand Werrner. The block was supposedly their own (2 1/2HP - 239cc) with PF ( Peugeot Frères- brothers Peugeot) in but was again a Zedel block ordered from the foundry Gautschi & Jequier S. Graf. This was the new model type C (type B still had the Zedel block). The cooperation with Zedel would continue until 1914.
This motorcycle is an older unfinished restoration. Everything needs to be checked again, missing parts are: belt, chain and electrical wiring with coil.
