French Peugeot model 1903 Type C in racing version. This is a 240cc with snuff valve as intake and steered side valve exhaust. In the early 1900s there were many races for motorcycles. This motorcycle was modified for racing as shown in the accompanying original photo. This Peugeot has the closed racing cylinder, normally standard has a removable cylinder head. Furthermore, this motorcycle has a grate carburetor Longuemare, racing handlebars, racing saddle and extra fuel tank for long distances.
