Older restoration and therefore completely original BMW model R17. This is the rare OHV version of the known side valve model R12. Motocycle is completely original and in good running condition. Also has the original spinning odometer (walzentacho).
This was one of the most powerful motorcycles of Germany in those years. This R17 has 33PK at 5000 rpm! The first BMW with this amount of HP came in 1952 (17 years later) with the R68 (35HP). This is the reason that most of these R17's were used after the war for racing and were sacrificed.
Of this model there are only 434 pieces built between 1935 and 1937.
