Beautiful early French Ravat model BS4. This is a 175cc 2 stroke with belt drive. Nice in original condition with air pump and spare inner tube box on luggage rack. Nice detail on the front fender is the iron rod that runs over the front tire. This was to pull horseshoe nails out of the tire before they did any damage.

Right out of the barn and just cleaned up a bit.

Ravat was made from 1923 to 1958 in Paris. In 1925 they had over 1,000 employees and produced more like 80,000 bicycles and motorcycles a year. They had their own factories in Brussels and Vilvoorde.
