Very nice original Terrot Motorette N°2 of 1909. This is a 264cc IOE (sniff valve). This Motorette is completely original and in very good condition. Not yet overhauled, so comes from a collection in France.
Charles Terrot started a collaboration with Stücklen in 1862 for the fabrication of machines for the textile industry. In 1887 the factory was opened in Dijon. Due to the great success of this department, other challenges were awaited. Due to the great success of the rise of bicycles, Terrot also started to produce them. Like many bicycle manufacturers, Terrot switched to motorized bicycles around 1900. At first with different motorcycle brands but from 1903 the Swiss Zedel brand was used. These were specially made by Zedel according to Terrot's specifications. This model had great successes in racing. After this the model N°3 was no longer made with an automatic inlet valve but now with 2 steered valves. a side valve with 317cc.
